I have been an active participant on several standards bodies.  These include members of the IEEE 1451 Smart Transducer family of standards: IEEE 1451.3 (sensor network), IEEE 1451.4 (mixed mode), and IEEE 1451.5 (wireless). I was an active participant in the integrated Network Enhanced Telemetry (iNET) standards development as well as the Range Commanders Council Telemetry Group and its development of the IRIG 106 Telemetry Standard.  In particular, the Data Display Markup Language (DDML) and the Instrumentation Hardware Abstraction Language (IHAL) have been incorporated into IRIG 106.  The DDML and IHAL are products of SBIR contracts I monitored.  I was also the primary author of RCC 707-14 Spectrum Management Metrics Standards.
