1993-2014: Computer Scientist. 412 Test Wing, Air Force Flight Test Center, Edwards Air Force Base, CA.
General Description: The main activity at Edwards AFB is the testing of aircraft. This includes the testing of new aircraft (such as the JSF) and of experimental modifications to existing aircraft (such as are made to F15s). My earlier work included software engineering and data analysis. During the last 18 years I coordinated research and development of new test instrumentation for aircraft. This involved long term planning (up to 20 years in advance) including input into studies and roadmaps as well as providing ongoing technical oversight for about $15 million in research contracts.
1997-2007: Professor, Chapman University, Edwards AFB Campus. This mostly involved teaching Compiler Construction and Software Engineering.
1995-1999: Web Site Developer and Member of the Board Of Directors. Applied Web Engineering Company. AWEC developed and hosted web sites. I was a founding member of this no longer extant company. My work included design, development, and maintenance of web sites as well as digital photography.
